I'm feeling much better now. I've still got a few days before my next protection job, and I'm loving my days off. I haven't had this much free time in years. It's fabulous.

One can never be too careful when it comes to things like this. He's not wrong when he says that it could "ruin his image" by people finding out about us. I'm not completely oblivious to my reputation. I just wish he would grow up and realize that I would never tell important things like this to people I don't trust. Silly children.

I know she hates what I do, but there's nothing that can change the path I've set myself on. Secunda's murder changed me in more ways than I could ever imagine. And now I have to deal with Decima's worrying when I come home covered in blood from a hit. I know I wouldn't have to deal with her looks and disapproval if I hadn't forced her to stay with me, but she's my baby sister, what else was I supposed to do? I can't let her live like that. One day something's going to happen, and I'm terrified that I'll have another murder to avenge. I can't let that happen. Ever.

Party planning, party planning. Mother was entirely too excited about the idea, and all my brothers and sisters are happy as well. Friday shall be a lovely evening at the Yaxley Manor. Mother has already ordered the elves to make new curtains for the grand ballroom, in honor of our new Minister.
Tertius' only apprehension about the event is security. How are we to keep out the riff raff, he asked me. It's very simple, big brother. Guards and wards. I will handle both. This will be a night to remember for all.
